Information about Online Brahmacharini Devi Puja
Maa Brahmacharini is regarded in tradition as the meditating form of Goddess Parvati. As per stories in the Puranas, when she resolved to marry Lord Shiva, she performed deep meditation (tapasya) for centuries, sustaining herself only on Bilva leaves. Through her devotion, she came to be known as Brahmacharini — the one devoted to austerity. She is worshipped on the 2nd day of Navratri and is depicted holding a Kamandal and Lotus, wearing a white saree and Rudraksha ornaments.
