About Online Punyahavachan Puja

Punyahavachan Puja is a traditional prayer often dedicated to Lord Varuna, the deity of water, and is performed as part of significant rituals, especially during wedding ceremonies. It is commonly accompanied by Kalash Puja, a purification ritual for the premises, where a sacred water pot (Kalash) is established as a symbol of auspiciousness and divine presence. In many traditions, this puja is considered a way of invoking blessings before important life events.

  • It is often performed during weddings and other auspicious occasions.
  • Kalash Puja, performed along with it, symbolizes purity, auspiciousness, and respect to the divine witnesses of the ritual.

Puja Procedure (as followed traditionally)

The Punyahavachan Puja generally includes Swasti Vachan, Shanti Path, Sankalp, Ganesh Sthapan, Kalash Sthapan, Lakshmi Sthapan, Navgrah Sthapan, Brahma Sthapan, Agni Sthapan, invocation of deities, Navgrah Mantra Japa (1 mala for each planet), chanting of mantras for Lord Varuna, recitation of Agni Stotra, Varuna Yantra Puja, followed by offerings (ghee, honey, sugar, til, sandalwood, samidha, etc.) into the fire ritual (havan), concluding with Purnahuti and Aarti.

  • For 11,000 Japas – typically conducted by 3 priests in one day (approx. 5–6 hours)

Puja Schedule

After booking, the exact date and timings for the Online Punyahavachan Puja are shared by email. Participants or their representatives are welcome to join virtually. A short video recording (10–15 minutes) highlighting important moments of the puja is also provided.

Puja Prasadam Options

Two options are available for receiving prasadam:

  • Donate the Prasadam: The prasadam is respectfully offered to a Brahmin on behalf of the devotee. In this case, a longer video recording is shared, including visuals of the prasadam for prayers.
  • Receive the Prasadam: The prasadam is shipped directly to your provided address.

  • Rudraksha bead
  • Chunri
  • Red thread (Mouli)
  • Kumkum and Akshat (colored rice)

Details Required

For performing the puja, the following details are generally requested:

  • Name(s) of the person(s) for whom the puja is performed
  • Date, place, and time of birth
  • Sankalp (intention or wish for the puja)

These details may also be shared via email after placing the order. Photos can be provided optionally if you wish.

Puja Location

All pujas are conducted in Ahmedabad, India, by experienced priests who follow Vedic guidelines. The date is usually scheduled within one week of the order unless a specific tithi (Hindu calendar date) is traditionally required.
